Why Give?
Giving is not for God’s benefit but for ours. He wants us to give, not out of compulsion or obligation, but cheerfully and because we want to. As we give to Him our hearts are filled with thanksgiving for what He has done in our lives. The gifts we bring are His already. We can only give back what God has given to us first. Everything is already His. We give out of obedience to Him. It’s an opportunity for us to show God that He is first in our lives and serves as a reminder that He supplies everything we need.

Our History
The story of Riverview began in 1954 in Club 64, a bar located where the church building stands today. One Saturday night in March of that year the building was a honky-tonk, and the next day it was a church. The story of Riverview is a great reminder of our story as well. One day we are hopeless, lost, and walking in darkness, and then you come to faith in Jesus, and you wake up the next day saved and forgiven. Just like that old bar you become a ‘new creation.’ 2 Corinthians 5:17
About donations:
Thank you for supporting Riverview. We are here for you, and your interest in us means so much. With your help we will grow and advance the gospel through Bixby, Tulsa, Oklahoma, and all around the world. That may seem like a stretch, but it isn’t. Jesus says in Mark 10:27, “‘…With man this is impossible, but not with God; all things are possible with God.'”

For if the readiness is there, it is acceptable
according to what a person has, not according to what he does not have.
– 2 Corinthians 8:12
The point is this: whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.
– 2 Corinthians 9:6-7
Bring this tithe to the designated place of worship—the place the Lord your God chooses for his name to be honored—and eat it there in his presence. This applies to your tithes of grain, new wine, olive oil, and the firstborn males of your flocks and herds. Doing this will teach you always to fear the Lord your God.
